Community Crisis Response & Bereavement Program

Here for you in moments of crisis, loss, and uncertainty.

The Community Crisis Response & Bereavement Program provides immediate, coordinated, trauma-informed support to individuals, families, and organizations impacted by sudden death, violent crime, and community-wide traumatic events. In partnership with law enforcement and community agencies, Project HELP ensures compassionate stabilization and access to ongoing care during and after critical incidents.

Who we serve:

  • Individuals and families impacted by sudden death or traumatic loss

  • Survivors of violence, accidents, or community tragedies

  • Children, teens, and adults experiencing grief or crisis

  • Schools, workplaces, and community organizations after critical incidents

Immediate Crisis Response

  • On-scene crisis response and emotional support in collaboration with law enforcement during sudden deaths and death notifications

  • Psychological First Aid, crisis intervention, and immediate stabilization for individuals, families, and affected community members

Community & Organizational Support

  • Crisis response and debriefing services for community partners and organizations following traumatic or critical incidents involving staff

  • Deployment of Project HELP’s Community Crisis Response Team, including highly trained professionals and members of the Florida Crisis Response Team

Disaster & Large-Scale Incident Response

  • Support following community-wide crises and natural disasters, including hurricanes and other large-scale traumatic events

Grief & Healing Services

  • Grief counseling and peer support services

  • Sudden death support groups

  • Trauma-focused therapy provided by licensed clinicians

We provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered support using evidence-based crisis response practices. Our work emphasizes dignity, choice, and emotional stabilization, while ensuring individuals are connected to ongoing care beyond the initial crisis.
