Project HELP’s Crime Victim Support & Recovery Program is committed to supporting individuals and families affected by crime through compassionate advocacy, resources, and personalized support. Whether you are a victim, survivor, or loved one, we are here to help you access services and navigate the path toward healing.

Who We Served?

Our program is open to individuals and families impacted by crime, including:

  • Victims of violent crimes such as physical assault, robbery, DUI, home invasion, human trafficking, stalking, domestic violence etc.​​

  • Family members and loved ones of homicide victims

  • Victims of property crimes, including burglary, theft, or vandalism

  • Witnesses to crime or individuals affected by traumatic or violent events

Help Navigating the Criminal Justice System

Signing a Contract

Project HELP's victim advocates participate in many ways throughout the criminal justice process to assist victims.  The criminal justice process (CJP) can be daunting, confusing for those who are navigating it alone as a victim. Project HELP has victim advocates that work in conjunction with the Office of the State Attorney 20th Judicial Circuit, Naples Police Department, Collier County Sheriffs Office, & Marco Island Police Department to advocate, assist, and inform those who need our help.   

Crisis Support

  • 24/7 Crisis HELPline for victims of crime and their loved ones.

  • Immediate emotional support and compassionate listening.

  • Trauma-informed care tailored to each individual’s needs.

Advocacy

  • Guidance through the criminal justice system.

  • Support with filing police reports or protective orders.

  • Assistance with victim compensation applications.

  • Relocation assistance for sexual battery & human trafficking cases.

Court Accompaniment

  • Emotional support during court proceedings.

  • Assistance navigating the court process and understanding your rights.

  • A trained advocate by your side to provide comfort and guidance.

Counseling and
Support Groups

  • Individual and group counseling sessions.

  • Peer-led and Therapist-led support groups to connect with others who understand.

Legal Assistance 

  • Referrals to legal aid for representation or advice.

  • Referrals to other legal supports.

  • Support during court appearances.

Safety Planning & Referrals to Community Resources

  • Development of personalized safety plans for victims at risk.

  • Assistance with relocation or emergency housing needs.

  • Links to housing assistance, financial aid, and medical services.

  • Access to food programs and child support services.
